Collab Task Studio ("the App") is an educational application developed and operated by the Language Learning Innovation Lab at Ibadaraki University. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

When you create an account, we collect your display name and email address. These are used to identify you within the app and to send service-related notifications.

We collect data about how you interact with the App, including task completion records, collaboration session logs, and performance scores. This data is used solely to improve your learning experience and for educational research purposes.

We may collect basic technical information such as browser type and IP address to maintain app security and diagnose issues.

- Firebase (Google LLC) — authentication, database, and hosting. Data may be processed in the United States and other regions. See Firebase Privacy.
- Google Analytics — aggregated usage analytics to help us improve the App.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Learning records are retained for the duration of the academic programme unless you request earlier deletion. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), Firebase security rules, and role-based access control. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
